Boston Piano Company

The Boston Piano Company (not to be confused with the modern Boston Piano built by Steinway & Kawai) was a small-scale manufacturer of square grand and upright pianos in Boston during the later half of the 19th Century. The Boston Piano Company was controlled by Mr. E. Wilson who operated as 'E. Wilson & Company, Proprietors'. There isn't very much information about this firm in our archives, but we have had the opportunity to rebuild 2 pianos by this firm, both of which were very well made instruments. Each had a very distinct and very beautiful rosewood grain which was a bit more lavish that most. It seems that The Boston Piano Company was out of business before the turn-of-the-century.
