Instrument Description
This is a very handsome square grand piano built by the Krakauer Brothers Piano Company of New York in 1883. Krakauer Brothers were known for building very well made, expensive pianos from about 1869-1980, one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive well over a century. This piano has a full 88 note keyboard, and is a later, more evolved model instrument. It has beautifully scalloped edges around the cabinet, and boasts beautiful Rococo style cabriole legs and fretted music rack. This piano has been restored to like-new condition inside and out, and thrills anyone who has the opportunity to hear and play it. A matching piano stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
