Instrument Description

This piano was built by the Colby Piano Company of Erie, PA., in 1913. Colby built quality pianos from about 1884-1920. This piano has some influence of Empire Revival with the large handsome pillar legs and carved moldings. This piano is made of beautiful quarter sawn oak wood underneath the white paint. Even now, prior to restoration, the tone of the piano is deep and resonate. By all indications it should be a stunning instrument after it is restored. An original matching stool is included. This piano can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
