Instrument Description

Krakauer Brothers built extremely high quality, expensive pianos in New York from about 1869-1980, one of the very few American piano manufacturers to survive well over a century. This piano is a nice early 20th century upright in mahogany, with clean lines and elegantly carved accents. This piano was a very high grade model, and the carved panels are solid pieces of wood, not applique or machine carved! It is a large, full size upright piano with an amazing tone quality. It is a beautiful striking piece of furniture as well as a very satisfying musical instrument. The finish can be done in either a reddish or a brownish mahogany. It includes matching stool, and can be fitted with a computerized player if desired.
