Instrument Description

This is a beautifully carved Gothic Revival baby grand piano built by the Marshall & Wendell Piano Company of New York. Marshall & Wendell built high quality, expensive pianos until 1953, and they are considered some of the finest pianos that were built in the early to mid 20th Century.

During the late 1920's and early 1930's era, America saw a resurgence in the Gothic Revival style which was reflected in this piano's unique and beautiful design. Note the carved triple legs and beautiful dark mahogany woodgrain...this piano has been restored and plays as good as it looks! It has a warm, mellow sound that you generally find in large, expensive pianos. This piano can be fitted with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
