Instrument Description
This is a stunning cottage size Victorian upright piano built by the New England Piano Company of Boston in 1895. Established as the New England Organ and Piano Company in 1871, this company had a reputation for making lavishly carved upright pianos and pump organs prior to the 20th Century. This piano is unique in that it is made of real Olive wood, and has unusual ornate copper panels depicting angels and flowers. The effect is absolutely stunning! Note the original sales catalogs description and photo (see photos). It is a bit smaller than the average upright piano, ideal for someone with limited space. This piano is being restored and refinished to like new condition, and it sounds as good as it looks. It comes with an original matching stool, and it can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
