Instrument Description

This piano is a beautiful example of the typical American Victorian Upright Piano of the late 19th century. It was built by Newby & Evans in about 1885, and is made of beautifully carved mahogany wood. Newby & Evans built high quality, expensive pianos in New York from 1882-1942, going out of business with the onset of World War 2. Note the beautifully carved grills, legs and moldings which reflect its Victorian heritage. This piano comes with an original matching stool, and computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
