Instrument Description
The Hammond Piano Company was owned and controlled by the Straube Piano Company of Hammond, Indiana. (The Hammond Piano Company had no relation to the famous Hammond Organs that were popular in the middle and late 20th Century.) This beautiful piano is made of mahogany wood, and boasts beautifully carved inset panels, carved legs and moldings. It has all the indications of being a powerful, large sounding piano after restoration. A matching bench is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
