Instrument Description
This piano was built by the famous Ivers & Pond Piano Company of Boston, and is made of beautifully carved mahogany wood in the elegant Louis XV style. According to the original sales catalog (see photos), this piano was sold as the “Style 605". Note the beautifully curved legs and pillars, which are accented by hand-carved moldings on both the top and bottom front panels. Although this piano is a full sized upright piano, it has a very dainty, petite look to it in person. This piano will be restored to perfection inside and out. It still has its original ivory keys, which are in good condition, though they are slightly yellowed with age. It has a nice brilliant tone, which has been described as warm and soothing to listen to. Includes matching bench. This piano can be fitted with a computerized player system if desired.
