Instrument Description
This exquisite "Duo-Art" grand piano was built by the famous Weber Piano Company in 1925, the "Golden Age" of piano building in America. This piano is of the rare and desirable "Louis XVI" style in walnut wood. Note the elegant burl wood panels that adorn the sides of the piano, giving the piano a "two tone" depth of color and wood grand that is rich and formal in appearance. It has been our experience that these Weber pianos are among some of the most well made pianos built in America during the early 20th Century. A matching bench is included.
This piano was originally built as a Duo-Art Player Piano which played from perforated music rolls. The piano can either be restored back to it's original form with the pneumatic player system, or it can be equipped with modern computerized player mechanisms which stream the music live from an iPod, etc. The fact that the piano is equipped with the Pianomation player system does not change the manual playability of the instrument in any way.
