Instrument Description

This beautiful parlor grand piano was built by the illustrious Paul G. Mehlin Piano Company about 1883. It is made in a beautiful Renaissance style, with lovely octagon round legs and carved music rack. This cabinet design was very popular in European pianos of the late 19th & early 20th century era, but it is scarce in American made period instruments. This piano is made of real mahogany wood with a hand rubbed black satin lacquer finish, and it feels like silk to touch. Most new black pianos are made of pressed wood composite with acrylic plastic laminate! This piano has been restored to like new condition inside and out. The tone and touch of this instrument are just astounding. We are always very impressed by Mehlin pianos...they are consistently some of the finest instruments we see come through our shop. A matching bench is included. This piano can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
