Instrument Description

This is a classic example of early 20th Century technology at its finest. This is a player grand piano built by Marshall & Wendell, and it is equipped with the AMPICO player system. The AMPICO player system was an advanced pneumatically operated player mechanism which allowed a player piano to play with real expression and dynamics, sounding just like a real person at the keyboard! This piano is made of Honduras Mahogany wood and is shown here prior to restoration. It is being professionally restored to like new condition, inside and out.
