Instrument Description

Kranich & Bach built exceptional pianos in New York from 1864-1981, one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive well over a century. This piano is a very nice parlor grand by Kranich & Bach, circa 1884. This model is very unusual for the era because of its elegant and simplistic design; most pianos of this era were heavily carved and very ornate. Note the nicely carved legs and trim…this piano is Victorian, but not overdone. This piano has been restored to like new condition inside and out. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired. The original matching bench is included.
