Instrument Description
This is the second of only two of these rare pianos we've seen come through our shop in the past 15 years. Bush & Gerts was one of Chicago’s premier piano builders, and they built high quality, expensive pianos from 1885-1942. This piano is made of beautifully carved mahogany wood, and is in the highly desirable Louis XV style. Note the detailed intricate carving on the legs, music rack, and scalloped case which give this piano an elegant and formal appearance. These carved pianos were the highest grade, most expensive pianos that makers produced. Because of their high prices, they were not sold in huge quantities. As a result, they are exceedingly rare today. This piano has been restored and refinished to like new condition.
This piano has been equipped with computerized player mechanisms and plays from CD, iPod, flash card, etc. A matching bench is included.
